In this project, I reimagined what happens when a chameleon camouflages against impossible materials. I developed Weavy workflows to generate various compositions and macro close-ups, weaving together the visual story of a mischievous chameleon.

The incredible chameleon
Experiment #1
For the bubble wrap video, I relied heavily on Nano Banana Pro’s image-to-image module, using reference images to lock in the specific macro close-ups like the chameleon's eye and legs. I used the 'Crop' module frequently in these cases, which allowed me to isolate and generate new frames based on a small part of the previously generated image.
Chameleon VS a disco ball
Experiment #2
For the disco ball texture, I used the same crop-and-regenerate method. My main focus was capturing the gradual transition from organic green scales to tiny, shiny mirrors. I also paid close attention to the chameleon’s belly to show it breathing and alive, ensuring it still felt like a living creature even while covered in an object's texture.
Variable Geometry
Experiment #3
The Extasy of gold
Experiment #4
For the gold transition, I mainly used Weavy to generate multiple shots of the chameleon interacting with the gold bar.
Total Transparency
Experiment #5
Self Assembly
Experiment #6
The Lego scene was a much bigger challenge. Unlike the other objects, it is far more complex in its shapes and colors, making shot-to-shot consistency critical. To solve this, I generated the Lego castle separately and used a 'Meshy' module to turn it into a 3D model. This allowed me to render the castle from multiple angles before adding the chameleon into the scene.
